As a Board member of The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM Ireland) Watson & Co. Chartered Marketing has been working with the Department for Employment and Learning ‘s Youth Employment Scheme to deliver an innovative marketing pilot programme that offers 20 aspiring young marketers the chance to create their own marketing job.

Open to all unemployed or underemployed 18-24 year olds the benefits of participating in this Youth Employment Scheme opportunity are:
• A work based marketing placement of 2 to 8 weeks and/or a 6 to 9 month skills development placement within one of 20 local companies
• Professional marketing qualifications – candidates will be provided with a fully funded training programme worth up to £750 to enable them to complete CIM Marketing and Digital Marketing qualifications
• Retention of any Social Security benefits that are currently received plus a top up of £45 per week during the 6 to 9 month Skills Development placement period
• Entitlement to travel and childcare costs
• Workplace learning: candidates will gain invaluable work experience including a real insight into the working life of a marketer and support from a mentor
• Improved marketing and employability skills
• The opportunity to develop and create a permanent marketing job

Eligibility:
Candidates must be aged 18 to 24 and have an entitlement to Job Seekers Allowance i.e are  currently unemployed or working less than 16 hours per week.
Opportunities offered are full-time (30-40 hours per week, including off-the-job training)
