Watson & Co. Chartered Marketing founder Christine Watson has been reaccredited Chartered Marketer status for the year 2016/2017 by the world’s leading professional body for marketers – The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

This represents Christine’s ninth consecutive year as a Chartered Marketer.

In a congratulatory letter received at the Watson & Co. Chartered Marketing office on 11 November 2016 Chief Executive of CIM Chris Daly wished Christine every success in the coming year and said: “I am delighted to confirm that, through your hard work and dedication to CPD, your Chartered Marketer status remains active for another year.

You are part of a senior community of marketers, all committed to maintaining the very highest standards in marketing practice. Achieving and maintaining this status demonstrates your personal commitment to being recognised as an experienced, qualified and up-to-date professional marketer.”

CIM is committed to raising the profile of those who achieve Chartered Marketer status. Chartered Marketers are listed on a directory at cim.co.uk/cmdirectory and can use the Chartered Marketer logo and designation in marketing communications.

Christine Watson became a Chartered Marketer in July 2007 after completing professional qualifications: The Advanced Certificate in Marketing and the Professional Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing with CIM at Belfast Met, recording more than 35 years of CPD for 2 consecutive years and reaching a professional marketing role as Marketing Manager in her career progression after graduating Queen’s University, Belfast in 2003.
The Chartered Marketer process has become ever more rigorous in the past year and Chartered Marketers must map their ongoing marketing practice and learning with the core pillars of a professional marketer.

Chartered Marketer status recognises those marketers achieving the highest level in our profession. It demonstrates commitment to keeping up to date and is awarded on a combination of experience and qualifications. In 1998, The Queen’s Privy Council granted us the authority to award Chartered Marketer status – the mark of an up-to-date, experienced and qualified marketing professional.
